How to Add More Veggies to Your Breakfast

A big bowl of zucchini oats (aka. ZOATS💫)




If you are cringing that I put zucchini in my oatmeal, you are not alone. I did the same thing before I tried it but I promise you that you can’t even taste it- and it’s such an easy way to add veg to your breakfast🙌🏼 .


As you know, I am alllll about the veggies. Too often, we make our breakfasts without consuming ANY veggies (maybe you get a quarter of a pepper here and there in an omelet🍳, but let’s be honest- who has time to make an omelet for breakfast every morning?!).

Adding some veg to your breakfast has so many great benefits:

•High fibre (keeps you full and keeps you regular💩)

•Low sugar🧁

•Nutrient DENSE (think: SO many vitamins and minerals to start your day!)🥬🌶🥒🍆🥦

These zoats are SUCH an easy way to add some green to your morning, especially if you’re already an oatmeal lover! .

RECIPE:

•1/2 cup oats .

•1 cup milk (almond, coconut, whatever) .

•1/2 cup (or more) grated zucchini.

•1tbsp ground flaxseed .

•1tbsp hemp .

•Scoop of almond butter

•Handful of blueberries .

Add everything except the hemp, nut butter, and berries to a pot and cook like normal oats! Add the peanut butter just before you take them off the stove. Add the hemp and berries and enjoy! .
